Goos Gambit

Goos Gambit is a turn-based, card-driven programming battle game where every line of logic could be your last. Build your attack like a function, defend like a firewall — and bring down your opponent’s health to zero before they do the same to you.

In alternating turns, players switch between offense and defense. Each mode changes the goal and the tools available, pushing you to think like a programmer and act like a strategist. 

During Offense Turns, your aim is to increase your damage output by building logical expressions. You'll use variables like outgoingDamage and nextTurnTimer, along with operators such as +, *, and even control flow elements like if statements and for and while loops to maximize your damage stack.

During Defense Turns, the focus flips. Your tools now include incomingDamage, -, /, and similar logical structures, all geared toward reducing or countering the damage being dealt to you. Clever use of defensive logic can mean the difference between survival and a swift defeat.

Each turn, you draw five cards randomly from a shared pool of programming elements. These include numbers (0–9), mathematical operators (+, -, *, /), control flow constructs (loops and conditions), and key variables like damage and timers. Use them wisely — every card counts, and each round is a puzzle waiting to be solved.
